Finished kitchen, stone island and marble tile
Move-out cleaning · Room by room

The house, room by room.

We do not sell packages. We walk through the house: every room has its own surfaces, its own corners, and that one thing that almost always gets missed. Here is the full walkthrough, in order.

Kitchen · cabinets, island, range

01 — KitchenOven inside and empty fridge.

This is the room that decides whether you get your deposit back. We work from top to bottom: hood, cabinets, counters, baseboards, and the floor last.

  • Oven inside: trays, racks, door glass, and baked-on grease on the walls
  • Empty refrigerator: shelves, drawers, door seal, and the bottom tray
  • Cabinets inside and out, including the top where dust and grease build up
  • Range hood and metal filter degreased
  • Sink, faucet, drain, and the silicone seam on the counter
  • Backsplash, outlets, switches, and handles
What usually gets missed

The burner drawer gets washed, but the bottom drawer under the oven and the refrigerator toe kick stay untouched. We remove them and clean them.

02 — BathroomsSoap scum, grout, and the shower glass.

A clean bathroom shows in the glass and the tile grout, not in the scent. We scrub, rinse, and dry so there are no water spots left behind.

  • Shower glass with soap scum and hard water buildup, scrubbed and squeegeed
  • Tile grout and the corners of the shower floor
  • Toilet fully cleaned: bowl, base, bolts, tank, and behind it
  • Sink, faucets, drain, and hair cleared from the drain
  • Mirror, medicine cabinet inside, and exhaust fan
  • Towel bars, door, frame, and baseboards
What usually gets missed

The exhaust fan grille and the bottom track of the sliding shower door: two places where mold comes back if they are not opened up.

03 — BedroomsOpen, empty closets.

In a move-out, the bedroom is handed over empty, and that is when you see years of dust: behind the headboard, on top of the closet, in the window track.

  • Closet inside: shelves, hanging rod, floor, and upper corners
  • Sliding doors and track, vacuumed and degreased
  • Inside windows, frames, screen, and track
  • Ceiling fan, light fixture, and air vent
  • Baseboards, outlets, switches, and handles
  • Floors vacuumed and mopped, including under where the bed was
What usually gets missed

The top shelf in the closet. Nobody sees it standing up, but the inspector checks it with a phone flashlight.

04 — Living room and hallwaysWalls, frames, and everything you touch.

The shared area is where the signs of moving show up: furniture marks on the wall, fingerprints on switches, cobwebs in the high corners of the ceiling.

  • Scuffs and spot stains on walls and hallway corners
  • High corners and trim cleared of cobwebs
  • Doors, frames, knobs, and stops
  • Blinds, curtain rods, and shelves
  • Stairs, railing, and each step cleaned separately
  • Wood floor vacuumed and mopped with a neutral cleaner
What usually gets missed

The top edge of the doors and the baseboard behind the open door. Two flat surfaces that only get cleaned if someone remembers them.

05 · 06 — Laundry room, balcony, and garage

05 · 06 — Laundry room and exterior areasThe last part, and the heaviest one.

We leave it for last because it is done once the house is empty: we sweep everything out and close the door behind us.

  • Washer and dryer cleaned outside, on top, and in the space between them
  • Dryer lint filter and the compartment it sits in
  • Laundry sink, faucets, and drain outlet
  • Balcony: swept and washed floor, railing, and cleared drain
  • Garage: full sweep, cobwebs removed, and oil spots treated
  • Trash can rinsed and front entry cleared
What usually gets missed

The ten-inch space between the washer and the wall. We move the appliance, vacuum it, and put it back.
