Most offices don't fire their cleaner for bad cleaning. They fire them for the small things.

Two of us. Evenings. Offices around Clinton Township. Below is every complaint I've heard about office cleaners, and exactly what I do instead.

The complaint

Different people every week

Nobody learns the alarm code, the conference room rule, or which desks not to touch. You re-explain it forever.

What I do

It's me, and one helper

The same two faces every visit. We learn your building once. If I ever can't make it, you hear it from me, not from an empty office in the morning.

The complaint

The visible stuff gets done, the rest doesn't

Trash out, floor swept, done. Baseboards, door handles, the underside of the break room table — untouched for a year.

What I do

A written rotation you hold me to

Weekly items every visit. Monthly items on a schedule I give you in writing. You can check the list against the room.

The complaint

Restrooms smell clean instead of being clean

A spray of something floral over the same grout, the same fixture rings, the same dispenser nobody refilled.

What I do

Fixtures, grout, dispensers — every visit

Chrome wiped dry so it doesn't spot. Grout scrubbed, not rinsed. Paper and soap topped up and flagged to you before they run out.

The complaint

Things move and nobody says anything

Papers stacked into a pile, a mug washed that shouldn't have been, a monitor nudged. Small, and it erodes trust fast.

What I do

Desks stay as they are

I clean around personal items unless you tell me otherwise. Anything I find loose on the floor goes on the desk, not in the bin.

The complaint

You can never get anyone on the phone

A dispatcher, a ticket number, a callback in three days about a spill that happened tonight.

What I do

You have my number

Not an office line. Mine. Text me at 9pm about the carpet stain and I'll bring what I need on the next visit.

The complaint

The price creeps

A good rate for three months, then an invoice with a fuel line, a supply line, and a holiday rate on it.

What I do

One number, one invoice

A flat rate per visit agreed after I walk the space. Supplies included. If the price ever has to change, you hear the reason first.

What the fix actually looks like

No staged smiles. These are the things I check before I lock up: dry chrome, clear floors, a break room you'd eat in, a restroom that passes at close range.

Polished chrome faucet against white tile
Fixtures wiped dry — no water spots by morning.
Spotless modern restroom with clean sink and mirror
Restroom finished, not freshened.
Clean commercial hallway with cleaning cart
Corridors and common areas, every visit.
Squeegee cleaning a glass panel
Glass done with a squeegee, not a dry cloth.
Mopping a hard floor
Floors mopped last, after everything else.
Clean kitchen counters and surfaces
Break room counters cleared and wiped down.

Things I don't do

Being clear about this up front has saved both of us more arguments than anything else on this page.

Windows above the ground floorNo lifts, no harnesses. Interior glass and ground-level windows only.
Post-construction cleanupDrywall dust needs different equipment and a crew. I'll tell you who to call.
Carpet extraction or floor strippingI vacuum and spot-treat. Deep extraction is a specialist job.
Handling your paperworkI don't sort, shred, file or move documents. They stay exactly where they are.
Cutting the rate by skipping daysIf the budget is tight, we reduce visits honestly rather than rush the ones we have.
Sending someone you've never metIf it isn't me or my helper, nobody comes in.

Switching cleaners, without a gap

Most offices put this off because they picture a messy handover. It takes about a week.

You send the address

Square footage, restroom count, how many evenings a week you want us.

I walk the space

Fifteen minutes, after hours if you prefer. I note what your current cleaner has been skipping.

You get one number and a list

Flat rate per visit, plus the written weekly and monthly rotation. Nothing else on the invoice.

First visit is a reset

We start with a deeper clean at no extra charge, so week two begins from a real baseline.

Where my limits are, plainly

There are two of us. We work evenings, after your staff go home. Offices up to roughly 8,000 square feet in and around Clinton Township — beyond that I can't do it properly with two pairs of hands. No windows above the ground floor. If your building is bigger than that, tell me anyway and I'll point you at someone who can handle it.
